Innovation Training

Objectives

A weeklong immersion workshop exploring the emerging technologies, innovations and new companies that are shaping the future.

 

Results Achieved

2019: 6 participants visited (among others) the MIT and Harvard campus and the Boston ecosystem; they had experience the entrepreneurial and diverse culture embodied in its technology, engineering, and innovation programs.

Objectives

Enlarge the offer of the trade fair with an opportunity to listen to prominent opinions and develop the conversation on innovation.

Presentations, workshops, dedicated installations and other initiatives dedicated to innovation have been developed around the four key themes for the industry: ART, FASHION, HERITAGE, FUTURE; TRENDS&MATERIALS; SUSTAINABILITY; THE FUTURE OF RETAIL.

We develop internally and in collaboration with selected partners R&D and technology transfer projects, aiming at developing selected technologies of sectoral interest.

Objectives

This R&D project aims at providing new bio based textiles, based on myco fibres, that meet the market demand for sustainable high quality and functional Fashion Materials.

 

Results Achieved

The project has been funded by the EUH 2020 program, with over 4 M€ It will last until mid 2024 SPIN 360 is in charge of carrying out LCA studies on the Bioprocesses and Federico Brugnoli is the Communication Dissemination Manager.

Eliit

Objectives

The project is developed in strict cooperation with Conceria Gaiera SpA. It aims at developing new sustainable leather for fashion, through the application of an innovative approach: Science Based Tanning and the parallel development of LCA SW.

 

Results Achieved

The project Kick off has been in Oct 2020. It lasts one year. So far, we have defined in detail the business model to be applied to the results of the project and are characterising Gaiera factory with all data relevant for the LCA work.

Sustainable Intel

Objectives

The aim of the project is to obtain detailed information on the approach to sustainability of the most important players on the Fashion and Automotive sector, in order to draw a strategic map to be used to orientate the efforts of our customers.

 

Results Achieved

We have mapped more than 300 companies in Europe, USA, China, Brasil. Specific indicators on the main topics of Sustainability are being elaborated. Data will be used for our Consultancy projects as well as for education
