Circular Luxury and Upcycling

A significant amount of leather scraps are generated in the production of Leather goods. The objective of the project was (and is) to find the best possible means to produce new materials for luxury using scraps.We have selected the best recycling technology, among several identified. We set up the waste collection chain, trained the suppliers, favored the interaction between the brand and the recycling company. The material is now in use.The legislative evolution is increasing the importance for brands to find innovative solutions for avoiding destruction of returned or unsold goods. Objective of the project is to develop an applicable upcycling supply chain. We have set up a specific Upcycling supply chain, involving different actors that are involved in the whole process and evaluating all operative conditions and legal frameworks. We are currently piloting a full disassembly and upcycling process.
