LCA SIMULATOR, a Data-Driven Approach to Recipe Optimisation

LCA SIMULATOR is the first and only software in the world that allows modelling, evaluating, and improving the environmental impacts of tanning and re-tanning processes. The tool acts as a full-on simulator of the design and testing of new production recipes for leather articles.  

By modifying process parameters as operations, dosages, and chemicals, the tool supports the formulation of improvement scenarios and hypotheses that aim to improve the current profile of the recipe. 

With the LCA simulator it is possible to:  

Model tanning recipes action by action, with different lot characterization, water temperatures and quantities, running time, chemical products, and dosage. 

Simultaneously assess the process performance, the environmental efficiency, the impacts such as carbon or water footprint, the costs, and the leather quality. 

Identify the main causes of impact, compare alternative recipes, and simulate the effects of different inputs, such as renewables and sustainable chemistry. 

The software is web-based and does not require installation. All data resides in a cloud with higher security standards. 

The license includes a package of 4 online hours of technical support and training, regular software updates and databases. The license is activated by filling out the appropriate order form and signing a EULA (End-User License Agreement).
